We hope you all managed to make some delicious oatcakes after our last blog, and here is a wee recipe for making Shortbread for you to also try out.
What you will need:
2 & ½ cups of all-purpose flour
1 cup of butter (at room temperature)
½ cup of white sugar
1 tablespoon of white sugar (or as needed)
Let’s get baking:
Mix flour, butter and sugar in a bowl, with your hands until the mix is well combined.
Press the dough in un ungreased tray, sprinkle with the tablespoon of sugar.
Bake in the oven until the edges are a light brown, around 20-30 minutes.
Cut the shortbread into your preferred shape when still warm and leave to cool.
Once cooled remove the shortbread from the tray and enjoy your sweet treats.
