Today we are enjoying a lovely carrot crème cupcake (or a few!) here at Stag Bakeries as it is National Carrot Cake Day, celebrated by many on February 3rd.
Our beautifully created carrot crème cupcakes are a huge hit with our local customers and are usually sold in most stockists on the island by the end of the day.
Many historians in the Middle Ages believe that carrots were used as a substitute for sweeteners in cakes when there where none ‘back in the day’.
