Bonfire Night S’mores

Bonfire Night S’mores

Bonfire Night is annually held on November 5th when people light bonfires and set off fireworks, as it is the end of autumn, it is the ideal opportunity to burn garden rubbish. This year a lot of families will be lighting small bonfires and letting off a few fireworks from their own gardens.

Bonfire night is not complete without some delicious toasted s’mores and hot chocolate! Here at Stag Bakeries we like to go one step further and use moreish Scottish shortbread instead of the normal crackers that our friends in America use. Our sweet and crisp shortbread bites are the perfect thing for creamy rich ganache and bonfire-torched marshmallows to have sandwiched them.

S’mores are super easy to make!

Ingredients

  • Traditional or Caramel Stag Cocktail Shortbread (We used caramel)
  • Chocolate ganache
  • Marshmallows

Method

  1. Spread your chocolatey ganache on the shortbread round.
  2. Toast your marshmallow on the open fire using a skewer, (to avoid hot hands use a long skewer)
  3. Place the toasted marshmallow on top of the chocolate covered shortbread and top with another shortbread round to create a sandwich
  4. Enjoy!
