Show Offs

You could accuse us of being big show-offs this month, but in fact, we've hit the road to exhibit at two major trade shows - ScotHot and IFE. 

Both events offer the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our extensive range of high quality Scottish biscuits - a range with provenance and heritage at it's core. 

ScotHot gave Stag Bakeries the chance to meet with Chefs, Caterers and restaurants and get them to try our savoury biscuits specially designed for the catering and foodservice sectors. So for those looking to update their cheeseboard offer, Stag has a range of high quality oatcakes (made to our special Scottish recipe), water biscuits (including the original recipe and those with added flavours like black pepper) that are both perfect accompaniments to a wide range of cheeses. 

IFE (the International Food Exhibition) is the largest trade food show in the UK calendar which welcomes exhibitors and visitors from around the world. This year, we were invited to join one of our distributors Buckley and Beale to showcase our range and offer visitors samples. Stag's new Dipping Crackers went down a storm, with visitors enjoying the innovative flavour profiles of Lentil & Biriyani, Green Bean & Ras El Hanout and Chickpea with Garlic.

Each cracker perfectly complements an array of dips or as an accompaniment to meals.

Lentil & Biriyani is made with Mathia flour, delicately spiced with traditional Indian flavours, works well with curry as an alternative to more traditional poppadoms. Inspired by North African cuisine, Green Bean & Ras El Hanout is made with Moong Dall Flour and Ras El Hanout spice to make a tasty accompaniment to tagines or couscous. Chickpea with Garlic is houmous-inspired made with Besan flour and is recommended served with Middle Eastern dishes and dips.
